We started out with a blend of
commercial seed starting mix and
some compost from the back yard.

-
Cut strips
of newspaper about 1.5x as tall as the
can you will use. We used a tomato
paste can. Cut them long enough to
wrap around the can about 2.5 times.

Roll the
newspaper around the can with the excess
length on the end that is open.

Tuck the
excess ends down into the can.
-
Pull the
newspaper off of the can.
-
Push the
can down in the UNfolded end of the
newspaper flattening the inward folded
paper to form the bottom of the 'pot'.

Pull the
can out and your pot is complete.
